The Cloud

When the web was born, only real techies would dare get involved with the updating and managing of websites and with good reason - the technology behind it all was very new and not easily understandable for the layman.

Next came Web 2.0 and now everyone could update sites either through bespoke content management systems (CMS) or with off the shelf products installed on their sites server. These were a great leap forward and got many more people engaged in the web but there were strings attached. Bespoke CMS builds cost a lot of money, especially if e-commerce was involved, and often these costs were out of the reach of many small businesses and artists. Off the shelf packages helped a lot, usually being free, costs were saved, but they still often required a web developer to install, customise and configure. The admin suites were never very well designed and quite confusing for your average user and as no e-commerce options were built into these packages, if this facility was required, a whole new layer of cost and time would be added to the project.

INZU is the next generation of web application. You may have heard a lot about the Cloud and many new cloud services are emerging. If you're not familiar with what a Cloud service is, in a nutshell, instead of downloading software and installing it on your computer or web site, the application is accessed via the internet every time you use it. An example might be having your music library stored on a cloud service, with you then streaming the audio from the server whenever you want to listen to it.

As clever as that is, INZU provides a cloud service that is all together more useful, so instead of having a bespoke CMS built or installing a CMS package on your server you can now manage your entire website from your INZU account. The good news is that e-commerce is built in so INZU really is all you need to run a professional business website.

Techies will be pleased to know that the cloud API is available via JSON and XML feeds. What that means to everyone else is you'll be able to see you site data on just about any internet connected device including iPhones and Adroid phones.

Manage your site

The technology behind INZU is completely unobtrusive. Your site design can be anything imaginable with as much or as little animation, interactivity, graphics or video as you want. The sky is the limit, or maybe not for a cloud!

We have made managing your site as easy as possible, with a user-friendly interface designed with the average web user in mind. You'll not need to learn any new complicated lingo or read a long manual. Once your site is set up you simply click the section icon you want to update on your INZU admin suite and choose to add a new entry or edit an existing one.

Once the changes are made just go to your site, hit the reload button and there you are, an updated site in just a few clicks.

Through working closely with small businesses, musicians and artists, we have created a straightforward system that covers all the common pages you would expect, such as home, news, about, galleries, links, contact, people profiles, articles/blog, events, video and more with "article" pages for parts of your site that are more unique to you.

Sell products

Unlike other CMS software such as Joomla, Wordpress and Typo3, INZU comes will a built in e-commerce payment solution. This is really where we stand apart from other services, as you'll be able to manage and monitor your site content and sales in one place, saving you time and effort on a daily basis. All those minutes going between different systems add up and we can save you all of that wasted time and energy.

You don't need a merchant account, just a credit/debit card to subscribe is enough to get started.

There are many options on INZU for selling online and you'll be able to sell mail-orders, digital downloads or use our INZU Music service to sell music in multiple formats. Aside from products, you will also be able to take donations or receive direct payments from your customers for any reason, perhaps to pay an invoice?

All sales information is accessible by product or category and you'll see live month-by-month sales data each time you log into your account.

As well as products being incorporated into your CMS you will also receive buy now links for every item which can be copied and pasted anywhere on the web such as Facebook, Blogs, Tweets or e-mails.
